Cisco VOIP and Network Engineer

We are currently seeking an individual who has proven experience with Cisco networking and communications. In addition to the hands on experience, this candidate will enjoy applying both business and technical skill sets in a capacity as a senior consultant to provide solutions that are aligned with the requirements and goals of the customer. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: planning, implementing, and troubleshooting IT and communications solutions to our diverse customer base. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and have strong communication, presentation, time management and project management skills. The focus of this position is to implement and support VoIP installations, however the role will also ask that the candiadate also be heavily involved with general network support and build-outs including security and firewall, routing/switching, wireless and other network-related functions.

The ideal candidate needs to possess the following skills and experience:

Exhibited VOIP network design and implementation experience as well as solid general network design and implementation skills
Cisco Unity and CallManager
CCVP or similar training
Must be professional and comfortable with network design issues/problems and be able to clearly convey ideas and resolutions
Experience with Cisco Routers, Switches, and VOIP
Must have experience with copper and fiber structured cabling and resolving connectivity issues. Familiarity with troubleshooting tools (Fluke, etc)
Expertise in WAN, LAN and VoIP structured cabling
Ability to interface well with all levels of the technical and end-user community
Excellent organizational, communication (written & verbal), and interpersonal skills
Self motivated with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Team Player with excellent customer service skills
Education: BS in Computer Science or related experience
